What to include in a news tip
The more specific a tip is, the faster we can verify it. Where possible, please tell us what happened, where and when it happened, who was involved, and how you came to know about it. Documents, photographs, recordings, RTI replies, official orders and tender papers are especially useful. We do not publish material we have not been able to verify independently.
Confidentiality
If you are sharing information that could put you at risk, say so clearly in your first message and tell us how you would prefer to be contacted. We do not publish the identity of a source who has asked to remain anonymous, and we do not share correspondence with third parties except where we are required to by law. Please note that ordinary email is not a secure channel.
Languages
You are welcome to write to us in Kannada or English. Both are read by the editorial team, and we reply in the language you used.
Response times and escalation
We aim to respond to all correspondence within two to three working days. If your message concerns a factual error in a published article, please follow the process set out in our Corrections Policy, which is handled on a separate and faster track. If you have written to us and had no reply within a week, please resend your message with “Second request” in the subject line.

The Voice of Kannadiga is an independent digital news and commentary publication, owned and edited by S R Bentur and based in Hubballi, Karnataka, India. It is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any political party, government body or corporate group. Editorial decisions are made solely by the editorial team.
